Wait what? Another delicious & healthy protein recipe? Oh yes, you read it right! Give some bananas, free time and some happy music and I'll keep myself busy for the next two hours with baking & photography. Baking just makes me happy, especially when I can be creative with recipes and when they turn out well - that is a plus. A lot of the time it takes me about 50-100 times before the recipe is perfect, but this time it was delicious within the first turn! That just luck, although now I am kind of addicted to them. They are just too delicious! Do you want to know more? Read on...
Recipe: Protein Chocolate Banana cakes with PURASANA
Ingredients:
- 150G (organic) Oats
- 100G Fat-free greek yoghurt (fage 0%)
- 200ML Water
- 1 sachet Baking Powder
- 2 Ripe Bananas (+/- 200G)
- 60G Protein Whey (chocolate flavour)
- 2 tea spoons of PURASANA RAW CACAO POWDER
- 3 Egg whites
- 150G (organic) Oats
- 100G Fat-free greek yoghurt (fage 0%)
- 200ML Water
- 1 sachet Baking Powder
- 2 Ripe Bananas (+/- 200G)
- 60G Protein Whey (chocolate flavour)
- 2 tea spoons of PURASANA RAW CACAO POWDER
- 3 Egg whites
How to... :
1. Pre-heat the oven at 170 degrees, make sure that it does NOT get higher than this or it will burn the cakes.
2. Mix the oats, the greek yoghurt and the water in a bowl and leave it in the oven for about 1 min until it is a little hot and take it out.
3. In the mean time, peel and mash the bananas until smooth .
4. Now add the banana mash and baking powder to the oat bowl and keep mixing until evenly distributed.
5. Mix the egg whites with a mixer until it is a consistent white substance.
6. Add the 60G whey and the egg whites to the bowl and mix everything with a spoon.
7. Poor the mixture into (small) silicone cake forms or a big one, whatever you prefer ;)
8. Bake the small cakes for about 30min and the big cake for about 60min.
9. DONE!
~
TIP: Make sure to keep checking that the cakes are still a little moist in this way they won't become dry when you take them out of the oven AND when they are reading leave them sit a little longer in the oven but turned off so they won't shrink due to the big difference in temperature!
